Description
A silver gown, affixed to a tree, on a street, punctuated with similar scenes, located in East Detroit. Is this gown a 'silent tribute' to women who were brutally killed and whose murders had gone unnoticed, and/or unsolved--similar to 'The Red Dress Project', an aesthetic response to the more than 1000 missing and murdered aboriginal women in Canada, promoted by artist, Jaime Black? I wonder. Even so, my first reaction, upon coming upon this hauntingly beautiful, scene was one of violence, lynching, and death!
