Description
The triquetra is the Latin word for "triangle", and is often found in Insular art, most notably metal work and in illuminated manuscripts.. It is also found in similar artwork on Celtic crosses and slabs from the early Christian period. The symbol has been used by Christians as a sign of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), especially since the Celtic Revival of the 19th century. Here, I made a 3d version, which I then 4-cornered, duplicated, and placed top-side down on the other to form a conceptual 15 feet tall, bronze 3d sculpture.
