The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Another pretty amazing aurora image - we were lucky, as aurora activity is rated on a 1-9 point scale of brightness and flow, and on this night the activity was at a 6 in intensity. It was a storm of dancing lights for about 25 minutes before the activity paled. We were at Pingvellir in Iceland shooting above a lake. It was stunning. This image was shot on September 28 of this year.
